GAMES

All games are on Fridays (usually starting the 2nd week of term) at Franklin Pool and Leisure in Pukekohe. We play in the Franklin Basketball Teamsters League. Please be there 10 minutes before scheduled game time - games are approximately 35 minutes long.

GAME UNIFORM

• Plain black basketball shorts (Kmart/The Warehouse have some great basketball shorts for $6)

• Reversible WPCB Basketball singlet (you will be given a singlet to use and return at the end of the term)

• Black socks

• Basketball boots or sports shoes

• Players are welcome to wear black compression gear or t-shirts underneath their uniform singlet for comfort or warmth, but no other colours please

• Mouthguard - under Franklin Basketball rules, players will not be allowed to play unless they are wearing a mouthguard 

• Navy WPCB warm-up tshirt - wear this over the top of your singlet until game time

Please ensure your child wears their own singlet, not a friend or siblings, as their number is connected to their name on Glory League (used for scoring).

 

The playing singlet is provided by the club, and will be collected by the Team Manager at the end of the term. Please ensure that the singlet is worn ONLY for games, and that your child changes out of it after the game - especially before eating. This helps us to keep our uniforms free from stains/damage. The singlets are expensive for the club to buy, and we can only order replacements in bulk lots, so keeping our singlets in good condition means that we are able to keep our fees lower.

 

Remember to bring a water bottle to every game and training session. Our players work hard and it’s vital they are properly hydrated.

TEAMUP

We use Heja to help manage teams and communicate game times, practice times, and important updates via the app.

 

Please ensure you click “yes” or “no” if your child will be coming to each game. This enables managers and players to see at a glance who will be there.

DRAWS

Game times will be loaded onto Heja. All draws can also be found on the Franklin Basketball website.

GLORY LEAGUE

Every game is filmed by Glory League. This is an automated system which videos the game and also keeps track of scoring. You will be emailed a link to the game video - you can keep track of your game stats, watch highlights and share them with your supporters!
